The global need for connected thought leadership to drive positive change

Often, we have lots of ideas and brainwaves but these ideas don't reach the people who need to solve specific problems, more so in the developing world where technology is not pervasive. In a close(d) circle, sharing is easy, but such interaction is a minuscule fraction of the huge ocean of ideas floating globally in the minds of billions of people. The question: is there a platform for linking this huge volume of ideas from millions of minds? With Link-Minds, we would provide such a platform.

The impact of sharing ideas for disruptive innovation

When people start sharing thoughts and ideas, we create a value stream of continuous improvements, entrepreneurial ventures, disruptive innovations, etc in a virtuous cycle. The only catch is that, this usually happens within a limited circle. Imagine if, instead of two persons sharing one-on-one, what would happen if millions are interlinked to millions for seamless (boundary-less) diffusion of ideas?.

The global innovation communication channel for critical solutions

How many times have you experienced a Eureka moment but had nobody to share that excitement and to take it to fruition? And how often, such ideas do not see the light of day because you do not have the channel to express your creative potential? Whom do we communicate it to? Who is equally desperate to find a solution to a pressing problem? How do I know my idea is relevant? Is there anyone out there on the same frequency who truly understands the value of your ideas? IF ONLY, your mind is automatically linked to millions others, to mine the gold of opportunity that would enable you to capture and cultivate the potential of this huge network.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention

Of late, we see a range of innovations from teenagers to humble rural folk, on a myriad life-changing solutions, such as portable drinking water purifiers, or carbonscrubbing molecules, to organic farming enabled by honey-bee nurseries, and a million other stories of jugaad at the grass-root levels. E.g Mansukhbhai in a remote village in Gujarat had the eureka moment to build an earthen fridge (Mittikool) using clay as a low cost affordable cooler in villages. Amrut Bhai invented a pulley-with-stopper to aid women draw water from a well, while the Ahmed brothers devised a wind-mill powered water pump to irrigate their farm. Mallesh, a weaver in Andhra Pradesh worked for seven years to devise a mechanical yarn spinning machine to reduce the manual effort and time from six hours to one and half hours. There are hundreds of such astounding grass-roots innovations created by intuition, ingenuity, with limited resources, at very low cost. The world is on the brink of catastrophe, needing urgent solutions to large scale problems of the twenty-first century such as climate change leading to water and food scarcity, infrastructure collapse, lack of affordable housing, power shortage, vast deforestation and increasing loss of agricultural land to desertification, humongous waste, environmental degradation, etc.

The potential of a few million, or a couple of billion minds

You never know how your idea could benefit and transform millions of lives in Africa, America, or any part of the earth If only your ideas and mind can instantly link to a billion others! How easy it would be if the global (collective) wisdom and knowledge is virtually sitting next to you as your friends or family, sharing, brainstorming, and creating new possibilities and businesses for life. Which means: linking minds can create business opportunities, solve pressing problems, transform communities, even nations, at personal and global levels.

The solution

One can use this platform to (a) post their needs or (b) search for ideas, real life stories or experiences and then (c) contact the person(s) offering solutions, where there is a match.

With this platform, the idea owner and the consumer will be virtually linked and would virtually be talking to each other, as if seated across the table. Once both decide to move forward there would be three options:
1. Buy the idea (and/or patent if there is one)
2. Pay royalty to the idea owner every time it is used
3. Provide the means and ask the IP owner to execute/implement the idea.
At this (implementation) stage, the platform would provide options and resources to manage the full life cycle of the idea, through implementation.
